Conference Successes in Kentucky and Utah

I very much enjoyed my time in Louisville, KY and Salt Lake City, UT this week. The Kentucky State Education agency hosted a wonderful conference and I was lucky to speak to a plethora of central office administrators, teachers, coaches and principals there about improving reading achievement.

On Thursday and Friday, Brigham Young University held a conference for upper grade educators who are trying to address the needs of adolescents and pre-teens, and they were a spectacular audience (we clicked!). Here is my talk from that wonderful meeting:
